Shouldn't have got a black crank!

Bit pi55ed off with my Deore crank arms looking rough where the black anodising has been rubbed off by my shoes.
Been thinking of having them grit blasted to remove the black (after masking contact points).
Anyone done this or got a better way?

    Same thing with my silver deore's, its pretty much inevitable, you could take it back to bare metal and spend hours polishing them if you wan't, or just try and live with it

    I took all the black off a very scratched ITM seatpost just using a light grade black emery paper.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    I think they look better once they are worn. Whatever you do will look wrong.
