Looking for something to do normal trail duties plus a bit of downhill. Is there anything out there for the same price that can rival the Canyon on spec, price, weight looks etc etc? I still want something that isnt a ballache to ride up as i like my hills. I dont think there is do you?

Rose bikes are pretty decent value.
Same sort of price range as the canyon.

Decent spec but not as good as the Canyon and i think their bikes look really dated.0

Actually when you put the frames in black and not that hideous two tone paint scheme they look quite good0

Granite Chief is a bit more lightweight & the Beefcake is a heavy duty freeride bike.
I would buy the Uncle Jimbo over the Strive

I rode one & it is spectacularly good, really excellent bike & great spec. A friend had a set of wheels like those on the Strive & he hated them, weak & a bitch to true compared to normal 32 spoke wheels.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I will choose my strive again anyday. If I will buy another road bike I probably go for Canyon as well.
I am thinking about buying the Canyon Nerve XC for my wife.
Went to the QE centre today and every one rode past me complimented my bike.
Besides the look I think it is fab to ride and handles like crazy. Shame the trail at QE today way too muddy.0 -
I dont think there's much to rival them for spec and value for money...........gonna be ordering this next week....
