We are in a fix now with a change of Council.Previous Con-Lib were on board with Derbys plans for a multi use arena to include a Velodrome-the first for the East Midlands.We had the funding and the plans were all drawn and approved-now Labour wants to re-think things over.
Please help out and sign a petition AND if you can,come over to Derby Monday 5-30pm Market Square for a demo of cyclepower en masse.Eccles cakes not guaranteed.Thanks all.

I ve signed the petition but sorry to be a pedant, was there not a velodrome at Saffron Lane in Leicester for years.

VLL-agree-weird isnt it how politics work out?We think Labour are miffed that it cannot be said that it was their idea so we need to find a way to let them off the hook,something like,`we could have cancelled grandiose Tory spending plans,but we are the peoples party and cycling is the sport of the working man (as if ).


Tim,but since it was demolished,this will now be the first (and only one, until another one is built). Sheesh.
