Diamond Back Vectra (Knackered Crankset)

Diamond Back Vectra about 10yr old with a pretty rough crankset. It came with a Shimano triple, but needs replacing. No idea what model. I know the rear mech is Deore so could I hazard a guess that the crankset also is??
How much should I look at spending to replace this. It doesn't get used for much in the way of off road. But the bike does get used a fair bit by the other half.

Probably square taper - you should be able to find something on CRC for £15 or so.I don't do smileys.

Like this one?? I'm guessing that even though the bike was bought for £600 back in the day it still probably used some relatively cheap components0 -
That's actually a decent crankset. Is it just the rings or is the BB trashed as well?I don't do smileys.

i think the bottom bracket is ok. When I rotate the cranks they seem smooth so i'm guessing that's ok??0

If it feels smooth I'd just leave it yes. Cartridge BB's can last forever.
You do need to make sure it is square taper though.I don't do smileys.
