Hi Guys

I've recently started riding clipless using a pair of touring shoes and mountain bike pedals. I need the touring shoes as i regularly cycle to the shops / pub etc, however I during longer rides I find that I suffer from hotspots. Does anybody have any advice for helping to reduce this?

Thanks

Shaun

You need to find a stiffer pair of shoes... might also be worth checking the cleat positioning

Possibly also try some more supportive insoles. I'm currently experimenting with the Specialized Footbeds.

Try experimenting with the lateral position of your cleats.

  • Hey

Thanks for the help, moved my cleats back a bit before doing a 65 mile ride yesterday and seems to have made all the difference.
