Find me a seatpost!

So, I need a new seatpost...
It needs to be:
400mm and 31.6
Light - for an xc race bike, 250g at most
Either in line or a little set back
and around the £50 mark...
Any ideas?

Thomson Elite posts are a solid option, should be one available in your size/budget. The twin bolt saddle clamp is an advantage too, super secure.Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go - T.S. Eliot0

Replaced the post on my Cube for one of these the other week. Saved 100g from the one it came with. Exact sizes you mention and comes in at around 225g. Got it second hand from here for little over half of your £50 limit.
Great post, clamps the seat nicely and slips less in the seatpost clamp. Not had to adjust either in around 100 miles. It's also now been on at least 2 bikes and there's not a mark on it.0 -
Carbon Cycles do do a 400mm:

Superstar simple posts are decent too, looks very similar to the Exotic.0 -

+1 I picked up the Twelfty sport (shorter post) for a tenner recently from on-one and it's great. Much better than the Syncros post it replaced.

I actually went for the USE, It has the perfect amount of lay back + I've already had a Thomson, I find them a bit boring...
Also got an on one post for the training bike...
Cheers guys!0 -

I put tinsel round mine at xmas, made me feel better about life and gave me a lift in general. I'm thinkin' of doing it in 'Summer' now as an extra lift.0

I just wanted to find some way of justifying having a carbon post...0
