Tour de West Ilsley, Ridgeway, Oxfordshire
Here's a shortish loop (13 miles) that can easily be done in a couple of hours even with stops. Some great downhills and great countryside.
Getting there: exit A34 at sign for West Ilsley (and Waste Transfer centre), head up the hill towards West Ilsley and where the road crosses the Ridgeway there is parking either side of the road. Park here and head west along the Ridgeway. The route is here:

There are numerous ways to extend this ride but I picked this specific loop to take in two of my favorite downhill sections.

nice loop. i cycled through that car park at night once. i've called it doggers carpark ever since. lots of worried people looking out their windows, cars pulling away hurriedly.0
