going for a set of keo blades to match the new 585. unsure about which tension is needed. Any advice on whether the 12 is fine or have folk found the 16 version a better option. Just dont want to end up paying another £35 for different springs.
cheers

I've got the 16nm ones and couldn't imagine using anything with less tension. I did worry about which ones to pluck for but I'm glad I got the 16nm, just a bit more security. Although, I haven't tried the 12nm so I do have a slightly biased view!

Sorry to confuse things, but I find the 12s rock solid and can't imagine needing more! A mate has 16s and struggles to disengage. Might have something to do with weight/strength since we're both weaklings!
    Great pedals btw.

I have 16s and sometimes feel like your mate, find it hard to disengage, just feel the need to twist harder :(

I'm here too. LBS advised on 16s so that's what I got. Real positive snap in and I find it easier to engage than on my previous Keo max pedals. Disengagement I have had no problems with although the first few rides it did feel like I had to give a firm twist of the foot to snap out of the pedal. This appears to not be the case now but I'm not sure if I have just got used to it or whether the pedal has bedded in a little. It certainly feels smooth and straight forward both clipping in and out.

12's are more than enough, quite why you'd be pulling on them enough to get anywhere near pulling out of a 12nm pedal is beyond me.

In over 500 miles over racing since I got blades, I've never once thought that "these could be with being a stronger spring".
