Hello :D

I am having a bit of a major handlebar re-shuffle - having got new ones for the Santa Cruz, it's made my other ones look rubbish

I'm after some 710mm riser bars for the Minxy - DH / AM strength but light (ish). I'm only little so I don't really want to go any wider. An interesting colour (purple?) would be a bonus too 8) The Kona ones weigh a load so I don't think i'm going to have to spend a fortune to get some lighter ones......!

I've had a look on-line but are there are so many that I don't know where to start. Any recommendations would be great - thank you.

    RF Atlas and Superstar options?

They're 2 wide, light (and purple!) bars that spring to mind.

    However, there is always carbon

710 is pretty large! Though you can always cut down.

I agree with looking at Exotic components, great value kit.

The Easton Haven carbons on my Spicy are 710mm and do a good job for AM and DH work - very light too, any colour you like as long as it's black :) Just a bit pricey...

+ 1 for superstar or easton's, been very impressed with my flatlands and havocs, especially the havocs, one of the best pieces of kit I've ever bought

Hmmm, i'm liking the look of the Superstar Vector 700 bars.... Right size, good price and purple 8)

They are listed for XC / AM use - can I assume they will be man enough? I weigh less than 9 stone and am not exactly known for my massive drops / jumps, but they will undoubtably get a right old pounding on the Mega :?

For £35 are ok. But for the same price I'd have these every time:

Scandium alloy is tougher, you won't break those! Superb bar.

    But they're not purple.....

(I accept that the purple thing might not ACTUALLY be possible, so thank you for the recommendation  )

I'm pretty sure that purple is one of the colour options that Superstar gives you. If red/black is racy enough, I can recommend Answer - they start at 780mm and you can cut them down to where you want them. If memory serves the full name is "Answer pro taper expert 780"

Have a look at deity components. Check out the topsoil or dirty 30. They have a really nice colour range. I've got the topsoil in purple on my bike. Looks and feels sweet
