Have ordered "Riis - Stages of light & dark" from Amazon this morning, looking forward to reading it. Anyone read it or heard much about it?

    There is a short excerpt from this in the latest issue of Cycle Sport magazine. Sounds like it could be a good read, i'll probably buy it at some point but at the moment I have about a dozen books still to be read!

    Bit of satire actually, Mr Riis was commonly referred to as Mr 55% and it was these babies that were being referred to..

    Well if he spent too much time at altitude that might well have been the case. :D

    * footnotes
    1996: Bjarne Riis has admitted to the use of doping during the 1996 Tour. The Tour de France organizers have stated they no longer consider him to be the winner, although Union Cycliste Internationale has so far refused to change the official status due to the amount of time passed since his win. Jan Ullrich was placed second. :shock:

    I most humbly applogise for my grossly misleading use of the phrase Mr 55% I do hope that the jury can find fit to pardon me on my error and take into account my previous good behaviour. :oops:
