Hi guys :D

Right cos im low on funds I have ruled out hydraulic brakes, Even tho id love some saints!!

Ive narrowed it down to two

Avid BB7 and Shimano M495. Now I know the avids use sintered pads and shimano use resin. In my limited knowledge as a motorbike spanner wielder I can only assume resin pads = pants.

So my question is, with both calipers adjustable for both pads and not seemingly a great deal in it spec wise, will the shimanos fitted with sintered pads offer as much braking force as the Avids??

I have found the Shimanos for buttons, but the Avids are only a tenner more, but seeing as my bike has pretty much a shimano catalogue thrown at it would like to keep the theme going.

If theyre not as good as the Avids ill get the BB7s, but its gonna ruin my colour scheme :o:(
Idiot ^^^^^^^^^

BB7s best mech disc brakes out there.

And either can be used with either type of pad.

    Condition depending.

You may be able to get hydraulics within your budget - look at what's available from Rose Bikes
