Tyres... Time for a change?

Suffered at the hands of the p***ture fairy last night and it got me thinking...
I've put just shy of 4,000 kms on my "Vredestein Fortezza TriComps". They now have a few long, but narrow, cuts in the surface. Reckon it's time for replacements?
I may just replace with the same tyres as they were light and grippy (though could have been grippier!) and overall, pretty tough. Another option is the Michelin Pro4 Endurance (replacement for Krylions). Anybody have experience of those?

I replaced my Michelin pro 3 with pro 4 at beginning of year on my best bike. They have done 1300km so far, no punctures and not even a cut. Seem to roll just as fast as the pro 3 but do not cut up the same.0

I'm running PR3's with some latex tubes. Very nice indeed.0
