Shorter cranks

One for all you clever bods out there:
Is there a formula for the required reduction in teeth on chainrings to maintain your current gearing if you go for shorter cranks? I'm going from 175 to 150mm cranks, and just to make it more interesting, it's on the rear of a tandem, for my missus (short legs!), and I'm trying to preserve the division of effort too.....
My poor brain can't cope!
Thanks.

The only bad view from the saddle is of the point of impact rising rapidly to meet you.

see Sheldons pages for that type of gearing question."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
