Watching the Giro I've realised that I'm probably mispronouncing near every manufacturer's name; and am now wondering how the main manufacturers SHOULD actually be pronounced.
Okay Trek... we'll get that out the way :P
How about Shimano though? It is Shee-mA-no (as in ar... like the Southerners insert r randoml:y grarss, parss, larst etc)
Or is the 'i' short? Like in Shim or Shiv...
Is it a soft 'c' in Colnago? Or a hard one? Soft as in cede, or hard as in crisp?
Or Bianchi? Is it KEY at the end or CHI?
Kuota? Is it Coo-ota?

God forbid if a rider had a lead of 3:33 over the fieldI've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

Took me a while before I realised what an eye-tallion was.
In Italian, 'ch' is pronouched hard like "key", so its bee-an-key and not bee-an-ch-ee
A single c is pronoued "ch", as in church. So its chip-o-leany for Cipollini.
Once I got my head round that, made a bit more sense0 -

actually, the "ch" sound is when* a 'c' is followed by an 'i' or 'e'.

so, i've always wanted to know - where does the acute accent in Cervélo fit in? i thought* in italian they only happened at the end of words. maybe it's because of french-canadia or something.
