Suggestions on tyres anyone?

I have already posted once about this but I have a different riding style now.
My Carrera Valour has a 2.1 Kenda on the front and a 2.35 Schwable on the back and there is a sense of drag when i'm off road compared to a set of Michelin 2.2's.
I have a low budget of £20 per tyre and my riding style is fast and long distance on wet chalky/muddy terrain with rocks. I do use it on the road as well so it needs to be easy rolling. ( i know its a hard question)
Is there any reason for this and what would be a better alternative for it?
Thanks

My god road cycling is scary! I'm going to keep my relaxing rides to the trails where everything is green, fast and less crazy.

I always keep my tyres at 50psi or 40 in the wet so it can roll easily when i am on the road.My god road cycling is scary! I'm going to keep my relaxing rides to the trails where everything is green, fast and less crazy.0

I asked the question a while back which tyres would be best for an all rounder to cope with trails while not causing too much drag when on road, the answer came back as Panaracer XC Fire Pro. I bought some to replace the Mountain Kings on my Boardman Comp and they fit the bill really well. You can pick up the wire bead version for about 15 quid.2012 Boardman FS Team
