So recently, because of the chilly wind (this also happened over the winter) i've gotten chapped lips because of the amount i'm riding.

So has anyone got any advice on any product to use to stop it?

I've used vaseline in the past, but dislike how it goes gunky after a bit.

Thanks!

When I walking in the hills I've always carried and used a Chapstick. Usually costs about £1 and in a lipstick type tube. You can get them in loads of shops. The best part about it puts on a thin layer rather then Vaseline which you tend to rub in.

There's an old cowboy trick for dealing with this. When you get off the horse, go around the back, lift the tail and kiss the horse on the ass. It won't cure your chapped lips, but it will stop you licking them.

(If you don't have a horse, Chapstick)

Blisteze / Blistex (can't remember which it's called now) is brilliant. I get chapped lips all the time & swear by it. I find Lipsyl etc leave a proper nasty taste in my mouth.

Not sure about kissing horses... try sheep instead! Seriously, pure lanolin is the bomb for chapped lips. Seriously effective. Not sure where you buy it here, but I got some over the pond and a little goes a long way.

PS Chapstick is just vaseline with perfume in it, from what I can tell!

Can be but not necessarily. "Chapped" lips have just been damaged by wind/cold.

I've tried a few and the best for me is the neutrogena stick.
