Hi
this is my first road bike, have been riding MTB's since early nineties and decided to venture over to the `dark side'
Have yet to take it out due to the lovely british summer weather :(
bought 2011 105 ltd edition and then swapped out all parts exept f&f and 105 stuff
spec as follows:
2011 focus cayo 105 ltd edition frame & forks
mavic ksyrium elite wheels with mavic yksion tyres
fsa slk light 50/34 chainset with crank bros eggbeater pedals (love eggbeaters from MTB riding)
105 shifters, 105 rear mech, 105 front mech,ultegra 12-25 cassette & 105 chain
fsa energy brakeset, goodridge carbon cables
fsa k-force seatpost, wing bars & stem
specialized toupe pro saddle and thomson post clamp.
dont know exact weight but feels light !!!

Very nice, like to hear report on the wheels - if nothing else they look great.

Hope the white bar tape lasts longer than mine!

Whats the difference between a Cayo and an Izalco?

Very nice mate. How have you found the upgrades? Made a noticeable difference over the stock stuff? Would be good to get your opinion as the standard bike is pretty good!

    Cheers,

The upgrades are fantastic although I never rode the stock stuff to compare. Biggest difference is weight (and looks of course) but I will say the quality of the upgrades is very impressive everything seems really well made.
It's a different ball game to MTB but I like it :)

Nice bike, did the same with my Focus Cayo, frame and headset are the only original items.

Came up very light in the end.

Love everything about it apart from those bars. Which are ridiculous.

I'd be cautious about clamping your top tube in the workstand like that.

its basically just balanced in there, there is next to no clamping force :)
