Dura-ace pedals

My wife has told me that her Dura-ace 7900 peds are not clipping in like they used too and when they fianaly do its without the usual solid sounding click like it used to be.
Any ideas anyone

    Failing the above, which are probably the best solutions, make sure theres nothing lodged in the cleats like a small stone or dried mud or summat - often makes clipping in difficult and unsatisfying.

    Sounds to me like the cleats are worn and need replacing.

    7900 pedals are fairly new models and I would guess that a cleat problem or small stone may be lodged in them. I have had the 7700 model for years with ZERO problems aside from needing new cleats on ocassion, but that's normal. However if the bike has fallen over or been crashed then anything is possible.
