Hey guys,

Had a few problems with the bike lately so I would like to take it in for a full service, but as it's my first one I don't know where the best place to go is..

If anyone is in MK/Bedford then what's the best place to go for a full service?
For everyone else my choices are:

Trek MK Store (I get 30% off here so would be about £95~)
Phil Corleys (£130)
Evans (£90)

All without parts...

Any suggestions?

Sounds like a hell of a lot of money to give a bike a once over.
Maybe get some tools and have a read of http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help

Basically, I had a loose BB today out on the road (had slicks on). I took it to LBS shop to fix it there cos I was a while away from home and no tools from it.

But I still have a rhythmic click with the pedal stroke.

And I just wanted to get everything else checked because it's a modified bike

I'd start there, assuming the BB issue has been sorted. Rhytmic clicks at the same point of a down stroke could be pedals, cleats or chainring bolts.

I`ve had clicks caused by pedals, shoes, cables, seatpost and even saddle rails.

You just need to work everything systematically.Take the seatpost out grease it and make sure the clamp is tight.
Check pedal bearings for side to side play.Bump bike up and down and see if cables flap against the frame, check bb for play, chain for stiff links and so on.

I think I tracked down a creak to the saddle. Slight creak/clink when i wiggle it.

Would GT85 sort this where the seatposts meet the saddle? Or do I need something else?

Take the saddle out of the seatpost crade and grease the saddle rails.Take the seatpost out of the frame and lightly smear with grease before putting it back.Bit of grease on seat clamp bolt too.

Though I have had saddles that just creaked and none of the above worked.........
