...went out on the hybrid to get some plumbing bits for a spot of DIY, got back, looked at the computer, just to check averages (even though I had not been up and down a DC) and noticed Max speed was 59.9k!
Do you think If I bought copper pipe instead of stainless steel, saved a few grams I could have smashed through the 60k barrier? More fast acting carbs/gels to fuel the next attempt or just leave the cistern at home?

No it was a 59.9 not 60, or going out for a 80k ride and getting home and the computer says 79.5k, obsessive compulsive attachment to round numbers, makes buying anything really difficult my isetta is a 300cc bike0
