    Yeah he is a top bloke. Good judgement.

    I strongly agree with him re neutralising the last 3km of a sprint stage. And if someone takes off an gains some seconds, it is unlikely to be anyone with GC hopes.

    Shame about Phinney - think he is a good guy and he certainly will be around for a good while.

    If you're a GC rider and can still get stuck into the cut-and-thrust of a bunch gallop, why shouldn't you be entitled to some reward? I'm more surprised that a team with riders of Pinotti's experience left Phinney up at the pointy end in the last couple of kilometres - mind you, that lad is soooo tall that he was probably riding down in 80th place but the front of his bike was just behind Cav.
