Hi,

I'm going to be installing a new hollowtech BB, and was wondering if the BB shell should be greased prior to this, and if so with what kind of grease.

Thanks

Yes. Grease the threads. I'd use copper grease.

Most have some thread treatment on them already.

But some anti seize will not b bad.

Just a replacement BB ? Oh do grease the seal on the dirt tube.

So this is the first external BB that has been fitted to the frame?
If yes get the BB shell faced. I at least checked the the sides are true.

Ah yeah I think the last owner had them faced so it should all go ok I think. Cheers for the advice!
