Very nice! Hopefully Delcol will find his way here as he was querying this or a Canyon Torque. Would love to feel what she rides like myself!

I like that and it's cracking spec for the money 8) . YT really seem to be on the up at the moment.

    +1 for a ride report.

I have bike taped the frame and forks to help stop cable rub etc. what a pain in the rear end, it took ages to get it on properly but finally got there.
The geometry is spot on for me it's pretty much the same as my 140mm.
The frame is good the rear is nice and stiff and has a 12mm thru axle which can only help.
I put the recommended amount of air in the fork and shock and the sag spot on which is nice, the fork and shock are so smooth, they help the bike just float over roots and rocks, i'm so impressed that said i haven't used it to it's full potential, i'm taking it to a downhill course next month so it should get a good test there, also unbelievably it climbs better then my 140mm bike and seems to accelerate really well, cornering is good but i guess that's down to the tyres and suspension setup .
The saddle is simply terrible it has no padding.
Tyres are brilliant not to much rolling resistance but grippy as hell.
The gear shifters remind why i hated sram the up and down have to be push the same way and they are too close to each other making it difficult to shift some times, the gear changes are very quick but clunky like hulk hogan is throwing the chain onto the next cog.
The brakes are superb i now can one finger brake with enough confidence .
I didn't really use the reverb, i forgot it was there only used it at the end of the ride but from what i can tell it is a really useful bit of kit.
Any questions i'll try to answer them.

Am about to buy one myself but can't decide on the right size: I'm 5'8 1/2". Just shy of 32" inseam. Size calculator thing tells me to get a small, but 570mm top-tube seems very short. Not helped by big jump to 600mm top-tube on the medium.

Yours is a medium right? How tall are you, and how do you find it sizewise? Any comparisons with other bikes?

Would really help if you could do a couple of measurements for me please:
down-tube: from centre of BB to centre of headtube at lower edge by the lower cup.
front-centre: centre of BB to centre of front wheel axle.

    Many thanks.
  • Very nice! Got one on order too :)

Got to say that looks gorgeous. Bargain price too.
€1500 of fork and shock, >€600 of wheelset, €350 of finishing kit and full X0 for €3k is excellent.

no issues so far it's been a great work horse, the bos shocks make it a joy to ride, i ride it every chance i get, infact i done a 22 mile the other weekend had some pretty steep climbs but i didn't have to get off once.
the only thing i have changed is the saddle which imo is a must.
  • cheers!
can i ask a few more questions?

what sort of places have you ridden it?
how does it compare to other bikes that you've ridden?
what is the hadlebar width? and the seatpost diameter? (can't see either listed on the YTR site)

  • forgot to ask, how did they sort the reverb remote?

lots of places mainly in the south, i have had an outing to rogate dowhill which was fun, the bike managed it fine.
the bikes i have ridden are 100mm hardtail then a 140mm full sus and now this, comparing it to the 140mm it is a lot more capable on the downs and climbs just as well, setting up the suspension was more difficult then the 140mm but i have got there finally.
i believe the handlebar width is 785mm,don't know about the seatpost, i'll get the tape measure out tomorrow.
They offered to source a new barb to me but i had already sorted it by then,so they sent me a set of brake pads(the barb cost me less then a fiver the pads cost a lot more) so i'd say the they are keen to keep their customers happy.
  • WOW! Looks awesome!
  • Now that, is one good looking bike
