Hivemind Help - Cages

Morning all.

It seems the 3T cages I ordered have been discontinued. I was fondling an Arundle Mandible cage yesterday I think I will buy a pair at lunch. The question is, do I go for gloss or matte carbon:

Here's closer shot of the frame - it's primarily matte, with a bit of gloss thrown in:

I'm leaning towards gloss...

    I'm saying matte, just for the simple reason that putting a bottle in and out will spoil the look of the gloss, the matte will keep looking good for longer.

    I'd go matt. Looks a bit closer to the main frame finish and I think the gloss looks more plasticky.

    two of each, take them home, put them next to frame, decide properly. take back what you dont want

    One of each. Your frame is both matte and gloss, so carry that theme onto the cages too.

    If you must have one finish for both cages, I'd go matte.

    Gloss - the frame is matt, but the detail is gloss (e.g. font, cranks, levers, mech plates etc). I also think the gloss is less likely to scratch your bottles.

    Although, why are you even considering this rubbish when you can get Campag Record bottle cages?!

    Is it me or does the printing of "Record" on those look really cheap and tacky? Oh yes, it's probably me that's cheap and tacky. :mrgreen:

    OK - if I must spell it out though I thought it was blindingly obvious but never mind:

    The matt one looks like an ordinary plastic cage with a carbon effect print on it. The gloss one looks like a carbon fibre cage.

    Is that better for you? :roll:
