After years of somehow bypassing the peak district I have finally convinced my better half to give it a go...
So I want to be in and around the decent routes but I want to know which campsite to use.. I want to be able to get there and not use the car again!
Thanks

I think there's a few good campsites around Hope and Edale. From there you're at the bottom of Jacob's Ladder adn the route over to Hayfield. You're also not far from Doctor's Gate, Cut Gate and Ladybower Reserviors. Over the top of Mam Tor is Castleton and Cavedale.
Hope this helps0 -

Hope/Castleton have around 10 pubs,Edale village has 2.Fieldhead and Coopers are in Edale village the others are a bit of a walk.
All these put you in easy riding distance of the Dark Peak classic trails 8)0
