120mm Reba RLs

Hi,
I have just taken delivery of a set of Rebas. They should be 120mm but there were a few issues with the order and I'd like to check. Thet came with a couple of 10mm spacers, I assume this is to shorten the travel to 100mm?
I see there are some markings for setting the sag, 120mm is visible so I assume they are 120mm? I was surprised to see that the stanction length is pretty much exactly the same length as my recon silvers which are 100mm, are the stanctions on the rebas fully used?
Thanks,
Kev

Yep, the spacers are to shorten them. It sounds liek they are the 120mm version. There is a way to check. Let all the neagative air out. Measure stanchion length. How much is it?0

That makes sense.
I have released all the air from both positive and negative, the sanction length is exactly 120mm, so I guess everything's OK?

Sounds right to me!0

That's great. Thanks!0

So is that how you make them 120mm then, just by having no air in the neagative camber? Won't this will comprimise the fork perfomance?0
-
Of course it will. It's a test of length, the more, the more potential travel.0

You make them 100mm by removing a spacer (if there is one). This is just an external test.0

I have Reba RLs's on my Cube LTD Pro. At the moment set at 100mm (the 100mm sag gauge is visible).
I can see the end of the 120mm sag gauge and I got two spacers with forks. Does this mean I can extend the forks to 120mm? How do I go about doing this?
Can I also reduce them to 80mm if I wish? (there is a sag gauge for 80mm travel on the stanchion also)0 -
Ypu need to open up the fork and remove any fitted spacers. But it might not have any so is 100mm max.0
