Question from the dark side

Hi,

I have always been a roadie, but have recently started commuting on a Cannondale Bad Boy. It has 700cc rims, if I wanted to do some light trail riding, could I sling some cross tyres on it and go, or (and this would be preferential) could I buy a set of 29er wheels to swap in when I want to go off road?

Hope this is the right place to post this, and thanks for any help / advice-

Ben

sure as long as you have the clearance for the tyres.
if you did not know 700cc is the same as 29er.

Hi, thanks for the answer- I know it's the same size, but I wanted to know if the (I presume wider) rims and tyres would fit on the bike...... I presume that a shimano disc hub is uniform in size and therefore there'll be no issue there?

yep disc hubs for normal use are a standard 100mm and 135mm.

the rest you will have to measure and see what tyres will fit.
