Anyone tried bonty xr3's?

After asking a few questions and searching every bike forum known to man, I think I've settled on a bonty xr4 as an all round front tyre, but think it might be a bit too much for the rear. Reviews of the xr2 suggest it's good but only in the dry, so I guessed the xr3 should sit somewhere in the middle as suggested on their website.
Anyone used them? I only want them for all year round trail riding, no downhill, no racing, nothing too severe. About the most they'll be used on is trail centre red routes and maybe a bit of peak district stuff.

I have tried XR3 & XR2, on a Trek EX8, both fine in the dry but completely useless when there is any mud, not a lot of difference between the XR2 & XR3. The XR3 does have a little more tread but doesn't shed mud at all. I used XR4's on my Trance all year round and they are great, they foll faster than you would expect, reasonably light, I had very few punctures (unusual for me) and they are reasonably priced.
The negative side to nearly all bontrager tyres is that once you get over 2" they are massive, I used 2.2" XR4's which were bigger than my 2.5" highrollers & the 2.35" FR3 (bontrager intermediate freeride tyre) was enormous and completely useless. I could just about fit 2.2" XR4's on my Trance with about 5mm clearance each side.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Thanks for that. Sounds like the width might be an issue then. It'd be ok on the front but not sure I'd get away with it at the back, hence asking about the 2 or 3.
And so the search goes on!0
