Another Canyon Sizing Thread

Hi all,

I have been riding for just over a year on a cheapish Spesh P1AM and its time for an upgrade. I think that Ive made up my mind over what bike to get. Im going to go for a canyon Nerve XC 6.0, it would be stupid not to at £1059 (got to love the good exchange rate). Ive had a go using the bike sizing tool which states that I should go for a large. However Ive just had a look at the bike geometry compared to my current bike P1 AM (21") (TT 640mm) and it would appear that the P1 top tube length is closer to the canyon XL (TT 650mm) than the L size (TT 620mm). I have phone Canyon UK and they have suggested I go for a XL.

The difference between the top tube length on the P1 AM 21" frame and the Nerve XC 6.0 XL is +10mm where as the difference between the P1 and the L Nerve XC 6.0 is -20mm.

After all the above jibber jabber do you think I would notice any difference either way and would it be better to go for a larger bike?

Thanks guys for you help with this.

not exactly the same but, i have a 21'' hardrock, tt 630mm and a large AM 6, tt 620mm, fits me fine, if i had of gone for the xl, i think i would have been stretching a little too much
