Trek 1000 SL - Mile End, London

Locked my bike to a Sheffield stand in a residence courtyard on the Mile End campus of Queen Mary, Univ. of London yesterday - I last looked in on it at about 1 p.m. The one day I used a cable lock instead of my D-lock (which was securing a friend's bike, over at Waterloo) and some thieving...thief bolt-croppered the cable. I came back at 5:30 to find the chain cut and the bike gone.
Type: 2006 Trek 1000 SL (frame, bars, front wheel and forks essentially identical in appearance to the one at http://www.trekbikes.com/uk/en/bikes/2006/archive/1000 )
Additions: black pannier rack with London Cycling Campaign sticker, Shimano M324 cleated/platform pedals, bell, mounts for lights and cycle computer, 'landing strip'-type mount for Altura rack pack. The rear wheel is from Easton (and prominently logo'd.)
Notes: the bike was marked/registered at a Met Police registration stand using Bike Register, and a warning label was attached to the top tube. The courtyard has a CCTV camera - it is possible that the theft was recorded (I have spoken to campus security and to the police.)
I've had that bike for five years - it feels like I've lost a friend.

Good luck finding this, sounds like you've been quite sensible in getting it registered etc.
Hopefully you can access the CCTV and get some faces...
I'll be on the lookout nonetheless I live/study in east london0
