Joplin 4 or Pure Racing Dropzone

Right, I have the opportunity to get a CB Joplin 4 Remote version at a good price (brand new) but have read some conflicting reviews regarding the reliability and servicing of them.

The only other dropper post within my budget is the Pure Racing Dropzone (non remote).

I tend to ride mainly trail centres and only get out 1-2 times per month. I do however ride whatever the weather so there is a good chance of a lot of mud being involved!

Any opinions on which I should get would be welcomed.

Or... should I save up and get the Kronolg?!

Anybody got either of these? I'm off the idea of saving for the kronolog for now!

Got a Joplin non-remote had it 3 years and it's been fine.Mate I ride with has a KSi900r and loves it(he recently sold his problematic Reverb and went back to the KS)I've recently bought a Giant Contact switch £160 for the remote version 8)
Better than the Joplin and the remote looks very much like the KS.

They're all much of a muchness really. Plenty of people have issues with all of them, but more people are fine with each of them.

Thanks guys, just in the nick of time! Managed to get a Joplin 4 remote brand new for £100 so pretty pleased!

There seems to be almost as many good reviews for most of them as bad ones so just hope I don't get a Friday afternoon one!

Off to Llandegla or Gisburn Sunday so hopefully get chance to test it out!

    Cheers

As far as I can tell, it's as good a choice as any. Mine's behaved well for, er, nearly two years I think. I did make a gaiter for it out of an old innertube though. Oh, and I managed to damage the seat clamp in a crash, but the post is fine.
