Just got a new bike which is great I am quite new to bikes and only just learnt the basics of gear tuning thanks to a few people on this site , now I just had a look at the maintenance manual for my Rockshox XC28 TK Mag 29 and there seems to be quite a bit involved , I going to start with the do every ride parts first . Inspect carbon crown steerer - What for ? - Lubricate dust seals and upper tubes - now I haven’t a clue where the dust seals are or the upper tubes .

Well it does not have a carbon steerer.

Just keep it clean. Don't spray anything on it.

Is it normal to have oil on the upper tubes after riding? I have noticed when I clean them after riding it leaves a small amount of oil on the upper tubes ?
