How do you transport all of your kit? We have an old orange box which is filled with four helmets, numerous pairs of gloves, buffs, balaclavas, beanies, locks, lights, kitchen sinks etc and there is always something hard to find. There is Mum, Dad and two young boys. I have toyed with the idea of four bags and everyone takes what they need but what do other families do?

Once they've reached, say, 5 years old, I would make them pack their own bags the night before. If they forget something, tough. Ignore the tears and tantrums when you have to leave them behind in the car.

Did I mention that I've never had kids?

yeah, I'm getting a whiff of that possibility, MH.
    Helmets+locks: strapped to handlebars.
Small things like scarves+gloves+lights: bagged up together (one drawstring bag will do). Take batteries out of lights!
