Hi All,

I bought a new Boardman a couple of weeks ago, the first one had a tiny dent on the rear triangle so it was replaced with a new one.
However, I had a puncture the other day and this evening noticed the welding on the one side wasn't as smooth as the other side and has a slight lip and doesn't look finished properly.

Dodgy side

What it should look like

The question is am I being anal or could this cause problems further down the line and I should to back to Halfords to see what they say?

Thanks in advance

Jim

From what I can see from the pics, it looks like a bit of 'orange peel' paint finish on a part of the bike that you can only see if you've fallen off !

So it could just be paint then? It feels like metal and is a definate lip and not a smooth line like the other side. It's hard to tell from the pics but you can also see bare metal.

    Anyone else?

Am I just over reacting and just enjoy it?

    Overreacting.

Ride it, drop it a few times, wrap it around a tree, then see what it looks like. The duff bit now, will be the shiniest bit on the bike then
