I bought some sram links from chain reaction a while ago and noticed today the they say 8spd on them when the one on my bike at the moment say 9spd. Now does this make a huge difference as the packet on the links says 9spd as ordered but like i say the actual link says 8. I am confused if i can use these or not.

    Not on a 9 speed chain - the outside width is different.

    they are silver in colour but defo say 8spd on them but i ordered 9spd and they say 9spd on the packet so think maybe someone at chain reaction needs glasses. They do fit but i am assuming your saying they are different in size
