Im curretly using the Iphone app called Runkeeper, I love that it maps my route and breaks down my cycle to pace and avg speed, calories burned etc. However, the gps sometimes goes off sync and records that I have went 90 MPH at certain points.

Does anyone know of a better app i can use in UK to do the same? It must also record calories burned. Would someone reccomend endomondo?

i use runkeeper on the iphone and have experienced this, I think it is if you leave the wifi on, it uses that to make these points. So if you go past a house with wifi on the phone picks this up and thinks you are there.

I use Endomondo on a Blackberry and, for a free app, I am very pleased with it.

It has my max speed as 37mph which sounds just about plausible at the bottom of a downhill stretch.

It does the whole maps and stats thing pretty well. I like having the ability to categorise my "workouts" into different groups so my stats for cycle commuting can be separated from mountain biking and (in my case) downhill skiing.

    Give it a whirl.

I have just downloaded it. I love that you can time yourself against a previous cycle. Ill give it a go

I like strava, seems to be a favourite amongst BR commuters.

The segments and leader-boards give it an extra dimension. Lots of fun!

I use Strava on the iPhone4, very useful for analysing my ride in to work.

Not having an iphone or android phone, I've seen a similar app called sMove - has anyone tried it?

I use http://www.endomondo.com on my Galaxy Nexus but I'm having accuracy issues especially with altitude at the moment.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.
