Hi guys, anyone done the easier stuff at Stile Cop on a HT? I went to have a look and it seems superb but don't want to have a go and snap my Rockhopper...

Should I have a go or hire a DH bike to play?

man up and have a go.

red is easy on hardtail. ridge can also be done.

in fact, if you've got the 'skillz' you can do anything on a hardtail

It's do-able on a HT but not much fun imo. The Red Run is technically no more difficult than the last bit of Follow The Dog except it's steeper and more sustained. If you can jump and land smoothly you will be OK but if you tend to hide behind the seatpost and let the suspension sort out the mess you've made (like I do) you will find it hard work on a HT

BTW Swinno's do not hire bikes for use over Stile Cop. Good luck :)
  • Righto I have my answer...

Anyone know why all the timber stuff (jumps/boardwalks/drops) are closed off up there?

Snakes 'n' Ladders is closed until the end of the month and I think Walleater is still being worked on.
