I've got a peugeot 3008 and struggling to find a high rear mounted carrier to fit it. Anyone know where I can get one or which type??

Have a look at this ......http://www.amazon.co.uk/Peugeot-3008-Two-Bike-Rack/dp/B006I6UJBK/ref=zg_mw_303956031_17

    Or this..... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thule-Freeway-3-Bike-Rear-Mount-Carrier/dp/B001P82428

I use the Thule on a Ford ST with high spoiler and it works just great!

Do you want a hgh mounted carrier to avoid obscuring the lights/number plate? If so, depending on budget you could consider a tow bar mounted one which have the number plate and lights built in, like the Thule 9403 RideOn Carrier.

This would depend on having a tow bar of course. I have just got this carrier from Halfords which cost (after the NUS discount) £130, I had to get a towbar fitted as well which cost £100 and then a bypass relay for the electrics for £40. I fitted the tow bar myself and to be honest it was pretty easy as all modern cars have to have the fixing points to allow a tow bar to be fitted, all it involved on my Renault Megane 3 was removing the bumber and bolting the tow bar into place.

I used to use one of the strap on carriers but I was always worrying the straps coming undone and the strain that was being put on the hatch of the car!

Can you tell us the particular reasons why it doesnt fit your 3008? The one on the Amazon link that 'Qube' put up looks like a fairly standard rack.......high mount racks can fit most cars but sometimes struggle with mounts if you have a pillar-less boot lid, or lots of plastic on the underbody of the car.

Tell us the hurdles you've had and maybe you'll get a more accurate reply....
