I've just purchased a pair of Conti Mountain Kings II protection, Black Chilli compound. Hopefully will have them tomorrow.
Continental recommend a tyre pressure of 50psi. Is this the optimal pressure for the chilli compound to work?
I use run my High Rollers and Bonty Mud x at 30-35psi.

I'm no expect on tyre pressures and I've seen on the Conti website they recommend 50psi for but that surely that depends on rider weight, trail conditions and type of suspension (if any)

I always say that's the pressure the lawyers and guarantee department wanted on the tyres.

Schwalbe for the similar Nobby Nic recommend 28psi minimum, though I run mine down to 24psi.

yeah - agreed but I can see having a minimum and maximum pressure - I think Conti say 65psi max but to have a 'Recommended' pressure seems...well..weird :?
