Chaps, pods and machine have arrived.

    One word.................. WOW!

I ordered the 'sweet steam' model made by a company called RDL, which is Italian.
I ordered a box of espresso pods. The coffee is called Fida and I ordered these from the same site.

I ordered all the above from www.roccoco-coffee.co.uk who's coffee was recommended by a cycling pal.

I ran water and a pod through the system 1st to clear it out & then made my first drink.......

    Fantastic!

I first made an espresso. As the coffee trickles through the system you get a full, proper crema. I'm not a huge fan of just espresso but I was shocked by the quality. Easily as good as anything I've had in any cafe in Europe (no, I'm not kidding).

I then made a cappuccino. Again espresso came through with a perfect crema. I used the steam wand on the machine. And along with my metal milk jug started to froth the milk.
    Again, PERFECT!
I made a perfect cappuccino!! (yes me).

After! No mess. Unclamp the press and take the pod out! Bin it! Job done!!

For me! This machine is a revelation as its miles easier & faster than a bialetti or aero-press (I do like my aero-press more than a bialetti)'.

The standard of the Fida coffee supplied was really nice but I can also try other companies pods with the machine.

I'm rubbish with Flickr but I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow.

I won't sells much as I've had about 10 coffees since lunchtime!!

Am I happy........... YES I AM!

Out of interest are these fida pods hard or soft like teabags?

The illy ones I had that were toss were rock hard and had a little flap on them so they were easy to hold but meant the machine didn't seal properly. The lidl ones that are pretty good are just round like tea bags.

Them machines are a bit fancy, if my kitchen wasnt the size of a shoe box I'd like one of them.

They're soft like a tea bag pal. No complaints on the taste, really nice.

I'm going to put some pictures up in a bit.

Check with the company as I think they do a smaller machine.

    I've discovered the future!!

Fortunately for you then if you ever get caught out and need some desperately you can get 20 from lidl for £1.59 I think they are.

They'd have to be a last resort to get them.

Only 6p each!! Not sure on quality though.

Like almost all things lidl. They're much better than you'd expect for the price. Their stroop wafels are fantastic too.
