Hi all,

Been trying on helmets in a cople of shops. Kask K50 and Giro Atmos are fitting the bill perfectly.

I Was just after a bit of infomation regarding ventilation on both models to help inform my decision. Generally my head gets hot no matter of shite the weather outside. So need decent vents.

Any comments regarding CYCLING HELMETS most welcome.

I use LAS helmets, find em brill! I have the Victory & Squalo models & both are dead comfy, come with winter & summer padding, helmet bag, & visor. Both have lots of vents & have vertical & lateral adjustments.

LAS are meant to be good - got the top score in a recent magazine comparison though I don't think Kask featured in that. Trouble is finding them to try on - I never did. Which is why I ended up with a Kask Mojito which is excellent. You can sometimes get them for the same price as the K50 and they are lighter (very light in fact) and more compact. Kask have a particularly good retention system (they don't fall off your head even with the strap undone!)

Anyway, both the K50 and Atmos get plenty of positive feedback on here and there's little weight difference so I think it's really down to which one you like the most in terms of colours, how it looks and more importantly how it looks on you. Giros are more common though so if you like a left field choice, go for the Kask!
