Since getting the Garmin I have been storing my rides on the P C.

About 2 months ago I changed the O S to Windows 7 home premium. I sa y I when it was my daughter who did and she downloaded new Garmin software.

However when I look at my rides in Google earth I can only see a red line and not the wealth of information I used to have e.g speed, heart rate, cadence etc, on the map.

What have I (we) done wrong?

Not answering your post, but have you tried Garmin Connect? (website provided by Garmin)
    http://connect.garmin.com/

You could upload your rides that are on your PC to that, and then see all the info, including map of the route etc.

Thank you humpyg, that is something I've been considering. It's just trying to get a reason why something that used to work without problem no longer does - it just bugs me. In this respect Garmin do not provide an answer just tell me tp reformat the handset.
