Think I'm missing a trick somewhere......
No matter how I clean and lube my chain, it always seems to be caked in dirt. Grit, build up of grease, unless I take the whole thing off and soak it so its brand new its never properly clean? I normally use green oils degreasers and lubes. And my chain guide permanently has grit behind it grinding all the time I ride. unless again I take it all out and clean it down I cant seem to stop it.......any hints guys?? And tricks Im missing out on?

Perhaps use a different lube and polish your chain after each ride.0

Use a dry wax based lube like Squirt. Just clean it first, apply, wipe between use and reapply. No grease, no build up, no need to degrease. Simple.I don't do smileys.
