if any one can help,i've had the seat post for a few months and just noticed tonight that i could lift the post up when in the lower position ,when released it would go back to the locked position.
does it just need bleeding or is it broken ?

you're right thats not normal, contact the distributor and tell them whats wrong, they should point in the right direction, sounds more like a warranty job than a bleed.

Mine does this and always has, just pulls up a little bit if you hold the bike down and pull the saddle up. Then it springs back down when you let go. Doesn't affect performance in any way, so I'm not fussed about it tbh.

My reverb arrived today and in the manual it says:

"It is possible to manually raise the seatpost without actuating the remote by pulling up on the saddle with enough force."
