Rattling 9 Speed Cassette...

3 weeks ago my cassette started rattling, so took it off, cleaned it up, cleaned the freehub etc and then put it back on. Within about 15 minutes of riding started rattling again.

So repeated this all and was still rattling. So thought cassette was borked and bought a new one.

Put it on this evening and no matter how what I do (lockring tightness, etc) the sprockets still rattle.

WTF is going on? Am I missing something obvious? Is the freehub dead? Am I losing my mind... help...

    Mavic wheels?

    Have you lost the spacer?

The mavic spacer, sits behind the block and has a notch in it, is about 2-3 mm wide and should have come with the wheels.

If the spacer doesn't solve the problem you may have a worn out bushing.
