Read a surprising stat today.

Sir Chris Hoy has to date raced in 60 competitive keirins. His record? 1 crash, 4 second places........and he won ALL the rest. :shock:

I knew he was good, but that is insane. :o
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

    That is astonishing, but not that surprising when you see him race them. Also interesting that keirin racing used to be considered a bit of a lottery with unpredictable outcomes. It would be interesting to see who's in second place behind him on most wins and how many they have.

    Is anyone else thinking to try to get some tickets in the next round to be released, early next week? For folk who didn't get anything in first round?
    Is there a strategy for getting any, are they on sale at 10am sharp again which would really mean you have to submit the order at 9:57am?

    Is there a list of exactly what is available, yet? What time on 13 May will that info be released.

    Any other help or tips welcome!

    I've been trying to come up with a strategy this evening.It really is a lottery. And once again seems to have been set up so the sports fan fails. I have no idea what dates are available, how much the tickets cost ad infinitum.

    Sunday the first lot of tickets come out for some other sports (not track cycling). I am thinking at 10am Sunday I will login to Olympics site & try to play with the system. Go thru all the steps of ordering without actually hitting "confirm", iyswim. As a dry run for what I will try to do at 11am Monday when the track cycling tix (if there are any) become available.

    It's all I can think to do!

    Also, have the schedule handy before starting, so I know which events I will look for first, and then work thru what else is available.

    I don't expect to get anything, but worth a try.
