Trek Top Fuels, any experience with them?

Hi guys, i might be selling my Trek Elite 9.7 to buy one of these, maybe a 9.9 ssl. I will be racing XC and doing some endurance too, like Kielder.

    Have you ever ridden a Trek 8000 series? IIRC, the are the same geometry, but the wheel base being slightly longer to allow for rear sus; same sort of point and shoot, go like f***
