See Parktools for the standards or post pics and someone will theel you what it is.

Newer Giant frames have their Overdrive 2 headset standard.

The overdrive 2 standard has the same size cups as a zero stack tapered headset but the top bearing is a little thinner allowing for a 1.25" steerer at the top. This means the fork steerer is not typical size and tappers from 1.25" at the top to a 1.5" at the bottom. Traditional tapered steerers are 1.125" downto 1.5"

If you are build up from a frame then its not a problem as you can buy the typical sized headsets and forks. But if you are replacing the headset for full bike then it will have a special fork too which you need to take into account for.

If in doubt, its best to take some measurements of the headset and the fork steerer.

I am building up from a frame, I've got a rockshox reba fork to go with it.

Any suggestions on what headset I would need, size/make?

Oh, please don't give so generic info! First, the fork may have a straight or it may have tapered steerer.
Second, give us the year of the frame.

The fork is straight and the frame is 2012

In which case you can ignore all that overdrive2 nonsense and have look on the Park tooks website as Nick said. that'll tell all you need to know on how to identify what headset standard you need.

Why not just call a Giant dealer and ask?

I measured the bottom and top of the headset and the fork steerer tube.

I put the measurements in to that cane creek website and got this.

    top head - 41.4mm (SHIS:41 - 1" zero stack zs standard)

    bottom head - 55.9 (SHIS:56 - 1.5" zero stack zs standard)

    fork steerer - 28.575mm (SHIS:28.6¦30 -1-1/8" standard)

What measurements did you put? The bottom head seems ok, but if the top head is 41.4mm wide, then it probably is Integrated, not zero stack (upper head).

I must have got that wrong, it must be integrated.

    bottom head 52.05mm

Do I need a reducer for the bottom head

Yes, you would need a reducer crown race (some tapered headsets come with normal and reducer crown race). But, I would say that it's best to call a Giant dealer for the headset.
