Ticking front hub

Hi
I think I've managed to get some mud/grit in the bearings of my front hub of my Dura Ace 7850 wheel and it's making a ticking noise on rotation and feels quite rough. I've checked it by rotating off the bike just holding either end of the QR and spinning, so I'm sure it's not spokes/magnets/frame-related. I've never serviced wheel hubs before, so was wondering if anyone could advise if it's an easy job to check/repack the bearings or if it's better left to the LBS. Hub appears to be cup/cone rather than cartridge bearings.
Thanks
