I got a 3.1 last year, same colour scheme etc. It was my first carbon bike and was very pleased with the improved ride comfort and speed/acceleration I could generate.

Now done almost 4,000 miles on it and it still feels smooth.

The frame geometry is very sportive-friendly, with the tall head tube etc, so I find it very comfortable on longer rides (I'm doing 20 sportives this year for charity), but now I'm improving as a cyclist I can see its limitations for my aspirations to get into racing next year.

How do you find the upgraded wheels? My bontrager stocks were upgraded to Fulcrum 5s which I felt made a difference, and I have since added a 3T stem, bar and post for improved comfort.

I'm glad I got my Madone 3.1 as it has suited my riding to date perfectly...enjoy!

Nice bike. Handsome bikes the Madone series and great value too I think.
